Opportunity for Tax Manager/Senior Manager
Are you a motivated tax professional who values exceptional client service and trusted relationships?  If so, LGC&D LLP wants you to consider joining our thriving team of tax professionals as a Senior Tax Manager.  This position will support the Director of Tax and the Tax Principals and offers you the opportunity to use your leadership skills and creative thinking to help lead the tax staff while maintaining your high standards of excellence on all tax engagements.  With your recent public accounting experience and your excellent technical knowledge, you will help lead, develop and mentor our staff to foster their individual professional growth within the firm.  As a seasoned tax professional, you will manage a complex client base including: clients in the profit and non-profit business; estates; trusts; family limited partnerships and high-net worth individuals in the manufacturing, wholesale, retail sales, medical and real estate industries.  You will oversee challenging assignments and take a proactive approach to tax planning and building your client relationships. 

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a broad based industry expertise and the ability to provide complex tax planning and advisory services to clients
Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate professional knowledge to firm members, clients and business associates
Take a proactive approach to engagement management and anticipates problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise to mitigate surprises
Develop an efficient approach to engagement management to provide the highest level of service to minimize tax liabilities for clients
Effectively provides supervision and on-the-job training to engagement team members and provides challenging opportunities to staff members
Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate
Serves as a career counselor and devotes time for training and developing firm members. Looks for opportunities to participate in firm and community activities and may develop new business for the firm
Think critically, make decisions and reach solutions independently
Communicate and interact directly with clients, controllers, CFO's, Board of Directors, and firm personnel
Demonstrate excellent business writing skills and public speaking skills
Exhibit intermediate to advanced level experience with ProFX, tax research sites and MS Office Suite

Education Requirements
BS Accounting
CPA
